The Lazy Generation

As sad as it may be, I think there is some truth to the "lazy generation" label that has been stuck on us. It seems like more kids these days simply expect to wake up rich one day instead of working hard to deserve the money they have. We live with the expectation that we will somehow win the lottery, or even worse... marry rich. While I know that not all of the kids nowadays are like this, there definitely is some truth in the matter. What do you guys think?

  1. I agree with this...Our generation has been completely overcome by technology. This has made so many things in life easier for us. We should all be able to work hard and achieve whatever we want to. Doing things old school teaches you more about whatever you are trying to study.

  2. I think a lot of this issue has to due with the advancements in technology. It's making hard work less desirable because everything is being taken over by machines and computers. We no longer have to work hard to achieve simple everyday tasks so I think this makes us lazy and allows us to do the bare minimum with everything in our daily lives.

  3. I totally agree with this issue. Our generation wants to get everything without working hard to get it or deserve it. I agree that technology is a major factor in us being lazy. Nowadays you can do many things without even moving, you can go shopping online, pay bills online, play basketball games, etc. instead of actually going out and doing these tasks. With all this new advanced technology i feel like the future generations will be worse. Hopefully they are not and can do better.

  4. I feel that our generation is lazy and i participate most of the time.Although most of us wouldn't want to admit it wed all like to be born wealthy. I remember reading a quote saying I want to be so financially secure that i don’t even think to glance at the price tag of anything. I am not rich but the things I want are not free therefor I will work to obtain what I want.

  5. I also agree with this issue. I think that children thank that they have an automatic ticket to wealth just because there parents are wealthy. But having wealthy parents will not make an individual rich, happy or successful. I think that a lot of teenagers think that having money means that you are automatically successful and happy. But if one just has money and does not have any other values such as honesty and work ethic, then they will not be successful and in the long run will not be happy.

  6. I agree with this issue of our generation being lazy. As you all said, advancement in technology plays a big role in this but partly of this can also be our parents. Most of our parents had to work the hard way to get where they are now and because they didn't want us working hard like they did, they provide us with a lot of resources to make life easier.
