Recent Marijuana Legalization's Effect on Crime

In Colorado, the legalization made state citizens certain that some "hell" would begin to break loose due to the huge increase in pot use. Little did they know, crime in Colorado has not increased at all but actually went down around 14% compared to 2013. The two links below show that recreational marijuana has not generated any extraneous crimes.

  1. I believe that it probably dropped the crime rates because a large portion of arrests are made because of drug related charges. Or maybe people are too stoned to rob stores now. One or the other. Maybe even both.

  2. It seems like marijuana hasn't served any bad purpose in Colorado based on the stats. It's actually shown less homicide and crime rates by a big percentage. If anything marijuana is helping Colorado
