Legalized Marijuana in Uruguay
During the presentations, we heard from a few people about the legalization of Marijuana. The one that stood out to me the most was, Terence's. While looking for some stories about the effects of legalizing Marijuana I found out that Uruguay has already decided to legalize it. The President, Jose Mujica, decided that he would experiment with this new law. The legalization came with means of decreasing the amount of organized crime that exists in the country. There are rules/laws; how much can a person buy at one time and how much they can buy every month. The age requirement, and growing plants at home. There are also consequences that come with breaking the laws. This was something I found and thought it would be helpful to us since this is an issue we will be voting on as most of us are of age.

I like how Uruguay has legalized marijuana. They have set so many rules and consequences for the legalization of weed. I like that there are a lot of rules for this because it will help keep younger children away from it and keep people from abusing marijuana.
