Our societies priority news.

So on Wednesday in class Mr. Stewart had us read the corona del mar article that made headlines across the country and Steven Jenab said something that had me thinking. Steven said that how does the corona del mar article make country wide news when he had seen an article on an army veteran who was shoot nine times and this barely made local news. It made me think of how our society is changing and how a "mock draft" is more important then a man who fought for his country. To me this is ridiculous and i agree with Steven this "mock Draft" shouldn't be country wide news, the army vet death should be country wide news. So i ask how come a "mock draft" has become more important to our country then an army vet getting killled?

  1. While I agree with your statement on how things are valued in the media, I also want to point out that this mock draft article also points out how there are still inherent problems in society as we saw recently while starting the documentary on misogyny. All these problems are valid and I think it is a matter of opinion on how we value these problems and how much harm they can do to society.
