Monday during class we discussed that possible scenario of
what you would do if the class was inside a cave hiding from an enemy outside
and one person in the class was crying hysterically. If the enemy were to discover the class, you would all be
killed; would you kill that one person to save the majority?
My mom and I were talking about this situation and she
brought up the show M*A*S*H* and the last episode were a mother had to suffocate
her own child to keep their hiding place.

Personally, I think the mother made the right decision. If the mom did not do what she did all, if not, most of the people would have been killed.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't think it was right for the mom to kill the child. Of course, she is saving others' lives, but I think it would be horrible to kill your own child. If someone else did it, I think that would make the situation better. But I think it is a fight with your own morals.
ReplyDeleteI first thought when the mother suffocated her own child that she just put the kid unconscious. Now knowing that she actually killed the child, I would not have done the same thing as this woman. Although, if I were her I would just knock the child unconscious.
ReplyDeleteI think that what this mother did was wrong. There is absolutely no way i would ever kill a member of my family. I can agree with katie because if i were in this situation i would have tried to knock out my child. I just can wrap my head around killing my own child so i think we could find some way to quiet this kid down.
