NYPD Stop and Frisk

I know many of us don't go on Edmodo as much as Mr. Stewart would like but today Kacey I but up a interesting post about the new york state law of stop and frisk. The video is very appealing and may help some people understand why there is so much hatred or dislike towards police officers by the minorities in our country. I highly recommend to watch this video its a great story. Again i am not taking any credit for this it was all Kacey http://www.upworthy.com/meet-the-17-year-old-who-blew-the-lid-off-racial-profiling-with-his-ipod?g=2&c=ufb2

  1. The NYPDs logic makes no sense. They want officers to match the number of arrests from the previous year and more if possible. But wouldn't it make more sense and prove their work the previous year was efficient if the numbers were decreasing? They would probably meet their quotas if they were actually out doing their job rather than looking for criminals in innocent bystanders. This video just goes to show how conniving they realy are

  2. I saw this earlier in the year, and was appalled. Racial profiling amongst all government agencies is a huge deal that is often laughed off or disregarded entirely, due to irrelevance. By encouraging these stop and frisks, and telling teenagers to "stop looking so suspicious", law enforcement continues to drive a wedge between our people. How can the police make our citizens and long-term residents feel safe when there is always a lingering fear of being pulled over for the way you look? When do situations like this begin to infringe on our civil rights?
