It has been almost a week since Nelson Mandela died. Although he had been sick for a while, his death still came as a shock to the world. I found it interesting how everyone reacted to his death. People have heard his name here and there, but not many knew what he actually stood for. Mandela was a very controversial man. Many praised him for ending the Apartheid era, but many also disliked Mandela and though of him as a terrorists. Although he was far from being a terrorist he was being closely watched by the United States. Nelson Mandela did many great things for South Africa and should be honored for that.
