Today in my Smiths small group we watched a video about War Crimes against 22 Nazis officers/generals
We were given a half sheet with 10 questions on it about the "Nuremburg Trials" in case you missed it here are the answers

This was where the Nazis would come to show off their military power/ superiority

1. The common plan or conspiracy

3. What was the justification for putting the Nazis on trial?
They had committed the crimes and should be held accountable
4. Summarize Robert Jackson's opening statement.
Crusade against Nazism demonstrated the power of world justice
5. What was the concern about "fairness" at the Nuremburg Trials?
The judges were all from different countries
6. What was the prosecution strategy in presenting its evidence?
Conspiracy to wage an aggressive war, conspiracy to level Europe, Jackson used Hitlers' book as evidence
7. How did Goering defend his actions?
He summarized what he did and what happened
8. Summarize the argument relating to "orders."
Soldiers have the duty to disobey illegal orders. If orders are obeyed they can be tried for them. They should have leniency towards them because they tried to disobey Hitler
9. How did Jackson trap Speer?
He trapped Speer by asking him why he disobeyed Hitler at the end of the war and not during the war
10. What were the precedents that the Nuremberg trials established?
That soldiers can disobey clear illegal orders
