A school in Colorado accused a 6 year old boy of sexually harassing
a girl in his class, because he kissed her on the hand. The superintendent of
the school did change the offense to misconduct, but the boy was suspended for
2 days. The boy did however have a history of rough housing and did kissed the
same girl on the cheek prior to this incident. I think the boy did deserve some
minor discipline, but definitely shouldn't have been accused of sexual
harassment.
This is ridiculous. No kid at the age of 6 should be accused of sexual harassment. Lets be honest, the kid probably doesn't even know what sexual harassment is. The kid does not deserve any punishment, he should be taught that what he did was wrong but punishing him was not necessary.
ReplyDeleteI think some form of punishment was necessary. It's important to teach kids right from wrong at a young age. This may help him in the long run as it would prevent future incidents. However, accusing him of sexual harassment is a little too serious.
