Robert Cameron Redus Shooting

In this case, I believe that the officer had the right away to shoot the student in defense because he was clearly not listening.  He resisted the arrest and took the officer's baton and hit him with it, which forced the officer to take action for his own protection.  The officer does feel bad, but if he reported the right street location, the outcome could've been different.

This is a link to another form of police brutality. In this case though it's towards a dog. Do animals or should animals have the same rights as humans? Is this case frivolous or legit?
