Obama’s credibility
After a whole lot of this health care debate and botched rollout of the Affordable Care Act where is Obama’s credibility? Well this month the president is sitting with the same approval ratings that he was pre health care roll out. But if you just look back a month ago right to the middle of the botched rollout of health care his numbers were significantly lower. Up to 11 points in pole concerning his credibility. The most significant part of the article for me was people’s views on president Obama’s responsibly with the failure of healthcare.gov. They were saying that they don’t blame the president for the technical problems the website was having but rather blaming him for not putting the correct people in charge or the website to get it to work correctly. I really liked that view because Obama isn’t responsible for the day to day on the website but rather he is given overviews about it so why should he be held accountable to the technical problems with the website.

I completely agree with Braden on this point. It relates in many ways, to me, to the President being blamed for budget issues when in reality that is all on Congress to put together and pass on. Obama is not sitting in the Oval Office late at night with a bright screen on, his spectacles on drinking Red Bull trying to code and build a website, he hired people to hire people to build the website. Unfortunately because of how politics is shaped, the specific people are not blamed for their mistakes but rather their higher ups, in this case President Obama. This is also seen in the Private sector when the CEO's are blamed for the faults of their employees.
