Morality

"Morality is doing something only because it is right." A couple days ago, I walked into Payless shoes and I had overheard this little old lady talking to the sales clerk about how she had been standing out in the cold for 2 hours waiting for her ride. Not trying to intrude, I simply walked up and asked if she need to a phone to call her ride, she did not remember the number. So, I came to the conclusion that I should drive her home and not let her stand out in the cold anymore. After I had reached her given destination, she wanted to pay me for driving her; I said no because it's not about that for me, I wanted to this for her  because I felt it was the right thing to do in her time of need. What are your guys' thoughts on morality and have you ever been in a situation such as this?

  1. The other day i got home and my neighbor was trying to start up her lawnmower and was having trouble because she is old and she had a lawnmower were you have to pull the cord really hard. i get out of the car and i cross the street to help her and i could only imagine how hard it was for her because i was having a hard time starting it. I was fortunately able to start it for her. i didn't help her because it would be helpful for me or i would get anything out of it, i helped because it was the right thing to do.
i like how you actually gave that lady a ride because its hard to give someone you don't know i ride but it good that you did.

  2. Morally I believe that one should do good just because they want to and not to get something out of it. The best feeling is helping and not getting anything in return but a sense of doing a good deed. Today I got distracted saying hi to someone while looking back and walking,I soon tripped over a girls rolly backpack and during this my money fell out but I didn't notice. A girl soon approached me telling me I dropped my money.I thanked her and in a way found her act of kindness interesting because it's not seen often.

  3. A few day ago I saw a homeless man in the morning out in the cold, he looked as if he could use some food and asked me if I had any money. I did not have any money, but I did have my debit card. So, in response i went in got him food and got cash back, I did this because it was simply the right thing to do. Just as Max did, I chose to help without expecting anything in return.

  4. A couple weeks ago I was returning from In N Out with friends and we had plenty of extra food. I'm sitting at a red light and I see a homeless man on the other side of the street. I told my friends I was going to make a quick stop so I pulled over. I walked up to the man and gave him fries and a burger. He said God Bless You to me and also thanked me. This isn't the first time I did this but every time I do I always get the same feeling goodness inside me.
