Here are some pictures I found of what the the liberators of the concentration camps saw. All of these pictures are proof of the heinous crimes committed by the Nazis.
I watched the documentary from behind my hands all day today! Was really in shock and awe. The sights shown by the film from the concentration camps was unbelievable. I can't even grasp the amount of killing going on. Probably the most shocking was the pile human ashes at one of the camps that overlooked the city right next to it. Also the extremely heartfelt account of the American pfc who went into one of the camps on trucks and just had a super hard time going back to that place in his head with the interviewer.
As we continue talking about Holocaust deniers, it always leads me back to photos like this. It's very hard for me to understand how people could deny something like this, when there are so many photographs, and people to prove it otherwise.
These pictures are, I can't even think of any words right now to describe such a horrible scene. It is too hard to comprehend how the prisoners felt, they had NO absolute control over anything. So, for let's say an American to come across a sight like this, it would be so frightening and horrific. Their first reactions were probably a state of confusion, what is this place? What happened? Is this real? Then maybe their next thought would be to help, to save these people but yet they would still be in shock. Honestly, if I came across a situation like this, I wouldn't know what to do first. I wish that these photos were enough for the non-believers, this is something that can't be forgotten.
