Recently the retired quarterback Brett Favre has come out and admitted that he is experiencing memory lost. Although his life isn't spiraling out of control and he isn't a drug addict, he could be experience the repercussions of all the hits he has taken. If Brett Favre where to die to you think his brain might show evidence of CTE? Also him being a quarterback, how many doctors do you think would be trying to study his brain once he has past away?

  1. I can't say if his brain will definitely show signs of CTE but I know doctors will be scrambling over his brain. Most of the players that had their brains studied were playing rougher positions (mostly lineman and pit players). Doctors most likely look at Favre as a player who played a more laid back position for an extended period of time; they will probably love to see the affects football has done to one of the NFL's longest players.

  2. Brett Farve played well into his 40's as did Junior Seau. Playing in the NFL for twenty years will eventually have consequences on your body, possibly your brain. I believe that it is very likely the Brett Farve may have evidence of CTE in his brain when he dies because of the numerous concussion he had; diagnosed or not.
